This Account Management Policy explains how users can manage, edit, update, and delete their accounts in the Taleem Spot mobile application (“App“). This policy ensures users have complete control over their personal information and account settings.

1. PROFILE MANAGEMENT

Accessing Your Profile

  1. Open Taleem Spot app
  2. Navigate to bottom navigation bar
  3. Tap “Profile” icon
  4. Access Profile Management screen

What You Can Edit

Full Name – Your display name in the app
Username – Your unique identifier (must be available)
Class/Grade Level – Current academic year/grade
Profile Picture – Upload from gallery or camera

What You Cannot Edit

Student ID – Auto-generated unique ID (e.g., TS-2025-001)
Registration Date – When you first created account
Account Type – Student/Premium membership status
Email (in some cases – see Email Management section)

Saving Changes

⚠️ IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT:

  • You MUST click “Save Changes” button
  • Changes will NOT be saved automatically
  • You’ll see confirmation message when successfully updated
  • Internet connection required for all updates
  • Changes sync across all your logged-in devices

2. EMAIL MANAGEMENT

Email Change Rules

📧 For Email Registration Users:

  • CAN change email if current email is verified
  • ✅ Must verify new email before change takes effect
  • ✅ Old email will receive notification about change
  • ✅ 24-hour security hold period for email changes

🔐 For Google Auth Users:

  • CANNOT change email – linked to Google account
  • ❌ Email managed through Google account settings
  • ℹ️ Must use Google account to change primary email

Email Verification Process

  1. Request Change – Enter new email address
  2. Verify Current Email – Confirm via current email
  3. Verify New Email – Click link sent to new email
  4. Security Wait – 24-hour hold period
  5. Activation – New email becomes active

3. PASSWORD MANAGEMENT

Password Change Requirements

🔑 For Email Registration Users:

  • CAN change password anytime
  • MUST provide old password for security
  • ✅ New password must meet security requirements:
  • Minimum 8 characters
  • At least 1 uppercase letter
  • At least 1 lowercase letter
  • At least 1 number
  • At least 1 special character

🚫 For Social Media Users (Google):

  • CANNOT change password in app
  • ℹ️ Password managed by Google
  • ℹ️ Use “Forgot Password” on respective platform

Password Reset Option

If you forgot your current password:

  1. Tap “Forgot Password?” link
  2. Enter registered email address
  3. Check email for reset link
  4. Create new password
  5. Confirm password change

Reset Email Response Time: Within 5 minutes
Link Validity: 1 hour from sending


4. ACCOUNT DELETION

How to Delete Your Account

  1. Open Taleem Spot app
  2. Navigate to bottom navigation bar
  3. Tap “Profile” icon
  4. Access Profile Management screen

Account Deletion Process

⚠️ Before Deletion:

  • Backup Important Data – Download study progress, certificates
  • Final Warning – Account deletion is permanent and irreversible

🗑️ Deletion Steps:

  1. Reason Selection – Optional feedback about why you’re leaving
  2. Final Confirmation – Type “DELETE” to confirm
  3. Processing – Account marked for deletion immediately

What Gets Deleted

✅ Personal profile information

✅ Communication history with support
✅ Uploaded content and files
✅ All app-related data

What We May Retain

  • Legal Requirements: Data required by law (anonymized)

Download Your Data

Before deleting your account, you can download:

  • Learning Statistics – Time spent, subjects covered
  • Account Activity – Login history, app usage

📥 How to Export Data:

  1. Go to Profile Settings
  2. Select “Export My Data”
  3. Choose data categories to export
  4. Wait for processing (up to 24 hours)
  5. Download ZIP file via email link

11. ACCOUNT TERMINATION BY TALEEM SPOT

Reasons for Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for:

  • Security Threats – Compromised accounts
  • Inappropriate Content – Sharing harmful material
  • Technical Abuse – Attempting to hack or exploit

Termination Process
